Is it safe to connect to Carthage-Open?

Yes!  Carthage-Open is a WLAN maintained by the college; however, Carthage-Open is not encrypted.  If you plan on doing any web surfing containing privacy information (banking, shopping, etc...) make sure the web site you are using is secure.  You can tell a web site is secure when the site begins with https (the S stands for secure) instead of http.
