How do I create an online timeline with Dipity?

Dipity is a free online tool that you can use to create timelines that integrate images, video, links, and more.  You can add descriptive text to each timeline event and even tag event locations on Google maps.  If you want to get beyond the basic timeline view, you can switch over to a simple list view, a map view, or the flipbook view, which resembles an iTunes cover flow.

Dipity differs from other timelines in its robust integration of social media features.  Use Dipity to automatically import feeds from Flickr, YouTube, WordPress, Twitter, Picasa, or share the timeline with Facebook, Digg, Twitter, StumbleUpon, or Myspace.  Users can comment on events or rate them in importance.
