How do I use the media technology in Tarble Athletic & Recreation Center (TARC) 1155 (Athletic Training Room)?

Equipment Rack Power — Make sure these power switches are on at all times!

DO NOT TURN POWER OFF TO EQUIPMENT!

Red Master Switch — Located at the lower left of the rack.

Red AV Switch — Located on the mid left of the rack.

Amplifier — Power button is located on the lower right of the amp.

Volume — Volume for all devices is controlled through the master dial on the amplifier.

Connecting Your Laptop using VGA

  1. Turn on the data projector using the remote.
  2. Lower the projection screen using the DRAPER wall switch located above the equipment rack.
  3. Make sure the projector is set to HDMI (press the Video or Source Search buttons on the remote).
  4. Press the button labelled Computer on the Kramer switcher (the dark blue rack mounted unit).
  5. Boot up your laptop COMPLETELY before connecting the VGA cable from the equipment rack. Then plug in the cable.
  6. Send the image to the projector:
    • On Windows computers with newer operating systems, press your "Windows key" and your "P" key at the same time. Select "Duplicate" to send the image to the projector.
    • On a Mac, click the "Apple icon"> "System Preferences" > "Displays" > "Arrangement" > "Mirror Displays."
    • For machines with older operating systems, please contact Media Services at least one full working day in advance of your presentation for assistance at (262) 551-5950.

Connecting Your Laptop using HDMI

  1. Turn on the data projector using the remote.
  2. Lower the projection screen using the DRAPER wall switch located above the equipment rack.
  3. Make sure the projector is set to HDMI (press the Video or Source Search buttons on the remote).
  4. Press the button labelled HDMI on the Kramer switcher (the dark blue rack mounted unit).
  5. Boot up your laptop COMPLETELY before connecting the HDMI cable from the equipment rack. Then plug in the cable.
  6. Send the image to the projector:
    • On Windows computers with newer operating systems, press your "Windows key" and your "P" key at the same time. Select "Duplicate" to send the image to the projector.

Using the DVD/VCR

  1. Turn on the data projector by using the remote.
  2. Lower the projection screen using the DRAPER wall switch located above the equipment rack.
  3. Make sure the projector is set to HDMI (press the Video or Source Search buttons on the remote).
  4. Press the button labelled DVD/VCR on the Kramer switcher (the dark blue rack mounted unit).
  5. Make sure all power switches are turned on (see top of sheet).
  6. Turn on the VCR/DVD player and play tape or DVD. VCR/DVD player will switch to either tape or DVD depending on which you want to use. (If this does not happen, you may have to select the DVD/VCR button on the player, or on the remote). You will need the Magnavox VCR/DVD remote to use the various DVD features.
  7. (Volume) Volume is controlled through the master dial on the amplifier.

Using the BluRay Player

  1. Turn on the data projector by using the remote.
  2. Lower the projection screen using the DRAPER wall switch located above the equipment rack.
  3. Make sure the projector is set to HDMI (press the Video or Source Search buttons on the remote).
  4. Press the button labelled BLU RAY on the Kramer switcher (the dark blue rack mounted unit).
  5. Make sure all power switches are turned on (see top of sheet).
  6. Turn on the BluRay player, and insert a BluRay disk. You may need the Samsung BluRay remote to use the various BluRay features.

**Turn off the projector by pushing the Power button on the remote twice**

**Raise the projection screen by pushing the "up" button on the DRAPER wall plate located above the equipment rack.**
