How do I use the instructional technology in Tarble Arena (TA) 2095?

Make sure the Master Power Switch, the Blu-ray player, and the DVD/VCR on the equipment rack are turned on. You may need to use the remote in the rack drawer or the touch panel to turn the players on.

Power up: Touch anywhere on the AMX touch screen and it will display a list of sources to select.

Select Source Device Button: When you select a source device, the projection screen will lower and the source you selected will be projected. For example, Rack Input HDMI, DVD/VCR, etc. on the Main Menu page. To return to the main menu page after selecting an input, press the black/blue X button in the upper right-hand corner of the AMX touch screen. (See further instructions below for connecting your laptop)

Audio Controls: On the top center of the touch screen, a blue slider displays the room's audio level. Press the +/- buttons to adjust volume. Tap the square speaker button to the right of the volume + button to mute audio in the room, and tap again to release.

Power Off: Turn power off by selecting button on the bottom right hand side of the touch pad, then by selecting confirm.

Connecting your Laptop

  1. Follow the directions above to power on the system.
  2. Select the appropriate source button for your computer.
    • The Rack Input VGA/HDMI Inputs are located on the physical rack beneath the AMX touch panel.
  3. Plug in the appropriate VGA/HDMI cable to your laptop.
  4. If you are using VGA, make sure that the audio cable is connected from your laptop to the AUX AUDIO port located directly to the right of the VGA plug.
  5. Send the image to the projector:
    • On Windows computers with newer operating systems, press your "Windows key" and your "P" key at the same time. Select "Duplicate" to send the image to the projector.
    • On a Mac, navigate to Apple menu () > System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement tab > check Mirror Displays.
  6. Volume is located on the top center of the AMX touch screen.

Using the DVD/VCR

  1. Follow the directions above to power on the system.
  2. Select the button labeled DVD/VCR from the main menu.
  3. Put in either your tape or DVD.
  4. Playback controls are available through the touch screen. For additional options such as open/close , press the green MORE button, and select your next menu.
  5. Volume is located on the top center of the AMX touch screen.

Using the Blu-ray Player

  1. Follow the directions above to power on the system.
  2. Select the button labeled Blu-ray on the main menu.
  3. Playback controls are available through the touch screen. For additional options such as open/close , press the green MORE button, and select your next menu.
  4. Put in your Blu-ray disk.
  5. Volume is located on the top center of the AMX touch screen.

Connecting to the Apple TV over AirPlay

  1. Follow the directions above to power on the system.
  2. Select the button labeled Apple TV on the main menu.
  • On an iPhone or iPad: Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to bring up Control Center, tap AirPlay, and select the Apple TV option with "2095" in its name. Enter the code that appears on the projection screen. Slide the toggle switch next to the Mirror option to project your iPhone/iPad to the Apple TV. To stop projecting, swipe back up from the bottom of your screen to bring up Control Center, tap AirPlay, and select iPhone or iPad, instead of the Apple TV.
  • On a Mac: Go to Apple menu () > System Preferences > Displays. Click on the dropdown menu next to AirPlay Display and select the Apple TV option with "2095" in its name. Enter the code that appears on the projection screen. To stop projecting, select Off from the AirPlay Display dropdown menu.

Using the Microphone System

  1. Follow the directions above to power on the system.
  2. Retrieve the microphone and connected XLR cable from the rack drawer located in TARC 2095 or 2100.
  3. Plug the XLR cable into the slot on the rack labeled MICROPHONE . This is to the right of the AUX HDMI port.
  4. Select any source to run in the background. This will not affect you microphone.
  5. To adjust microphone volume, press the upside-down triangle beneath the room volume control. A Volume Controls menu will drop. Use the Microphone 1 volume slider to adjust the volume to your personal preference.
  6. To mute microphone audio, from the main menu, tap the silver microphone icon to the left of the main volume control.
  7. Return the microphone to its drawer when you are done using it.

Connecting with TA 2100

  1. Follow the directions above to power on the system.
  2. Select the button labeled View Room 2100 on the main menu.
  3. To break this connection, press the black/blue X in the upper right hand corner of the touch screen, and select another source, or power off the system.
  4. As always, volume is located on the top center of the AMX touch screen.

The contents of the screen in your room will now be controlled by the AMX touch screen in TARC 2100.

Do not turn off the power switches on the equipment rack, please Power Off using the Touch Panel.
